At Two Paws Up Dog Training, Inc., we believe that owners must learn to communicate effectively with their dogs. Without the ability to let our dog know what it is we want or don't want, in a language that the DOG can understand, we are left with frustrated owners and out of control dogs.

There are no "short cuts" or "quick fixes" when it come to promoting good canine behavior. Having a well behaved canine companion takes time and effort, but is a goal every dog owner should have. No dog is "too old" to learn new behaviors. Young dogs welcome positive training experiences, and even your "seasoned veteran" can learn better behavior, if you commit the time to teaching him.

We believe that the quickest way to teach even the youngest dog is by using Positive Reinforcement of the behaviors we want. Our training methods use a reward system for the right behaviors, and reflect the way animals learn. Corrections are used only when necessary to quickly and effectively change a behavior. In many cases, we change the OWNER'S behavior first, and the dog's behavior improves too!

At Two Paws Up Dog Training, Inc., we believe that your training equipment should be a tool that you use to help communicate your message, not something that hurts or instills fear in your dog. We do not require that you use a specific training collar or lead. Based on each indivual owner and his or her goals for training, we suggest the right training equipment to get the job done.
